Green thumbs listen up! The 10th Annual McLean County Plant Swap, Sale, Share Day, and Yard Sale is coming up on Saturday, April 28th at the Myer Creek Park 4-H Activities Building. The event is sponsored by the McLean County Cooperative Extension Service, Community Education, Extension Master Gardeners, and the Plant Swap Committee Members.

Pre-registration deadline for the event if you would like save your space to sell, swap, share plants or have a yard sale booth is this Friday, April 20th. Please contact the extension office at 270-273-3690 (8:30a-4:30p) or after hours, you can leave a message, just include your name, address, and phone number. Set-up for vendors swapping, selling, or sharing items will take place next Friday, April 27th, the day before the event.

The free event will run 8:00am-1:00pm. Come bring perennials, bulbs, seeds, houseplants, starts of shrubs, herbs, and even gardening magazines and/or tools that you would like to swap, sell, or trade with other gardeners! Additional activities will include a Nature Walk and Fossil Hunt with Dennis Millay at 10am, Greg Henson will be presenting on Container Gardens and Raised Beds, Charlie Mann will present on Composting, and Master Gardeners will be on hand all day for your questions. Crafts for the kids and adults, and the Yard Sale will go on all day. Door prizes and concessions will be available. And a survey for gift card, a drawing will be held at the end of the day.

Myer Creek Park is located on Hwy 136 E in Calhoun. It is a rain or shine event.
