The 30th annual "National Night Out' is Thursday, September 26th.

The Housing Authority of Owensboro, the Owensboro Police Department, the Owensboro Fire Department, the HL Neblett Community Center, Target, and other businesses and organizations are joining together to combat crime and strengthen neighborhood ties with a festival in honor of “National Night Out.”

The focus of this event is to raise awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity in the fight against drugs and crime in the community.

- National Night Out is designed to: 

- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness 

- Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts 

- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships 

- Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back

The festival will be at the H.L. Neblett Community Center, located at 801 W. 5th Street, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be demonstrations by the Owensboro Police Department and Owensboro Fire Department, as well as free activities for children, food, and music.

Join in for an evening of fun and awareness and celebrate the community’s efforts towards a safer Owensboro!
