If you went to Thruston Elementary School, this is going to bring back a ton of memories.  You will never guess what I found this week.  LOOK!!

I told you!!!  I was eating at Fuji last weekend and popped into Book and Music Exchange on a whim.  This album was sitting in the bargain bin for a quarter and I knew I had to have it.

If you went to Thruston Elementary in the late 70's, you likely still know this song by heart.  It was our principal's favorite and Mr. Pendley made us sing it every single morning.  It was like clockwork.  The Pledge of Allegiance then Debby Boone!

Do ya'll still remember the words?  If not, here's some help . . .

YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE

So many nights
I'd sit by my window,
Waiting for someone
To sing me his song.

So many dreams
I've kept deep inside me.
Alone in the dark
But now you've come along.

(Chorus):

And you
Light up my life.
You give me hope
To carry on.

You light up my days
And fill my nights
With song.

Rolling at sea,
Adrift on the waters.
Could it be finally
I'm turning for home?

Finally, a chance
To say, "Hey, I love you,"
Never again
To be all alone.

(Chorus x2)

It can't be wrong,
When it feels so right.
'Cause you...
You light up my...
Life
