ACC Pride In Owensboro

If you have driven down Frederica St. headed south, I'm sure by now you have seen this billboard.

I pointed it out to my parents the other day and we all couldn't help but let out a chorus of "it's about time!" "finally!" and there may have been an evil laugh thrown in as well. Yes, this is the first season both Louisville football and basketball will compete in the ACC conference, and yes, it's kind of a big deal. However, never in a trillion, billion years did I ever think I would see a Louisville billboard, in Owensboro?!? I'm sorry, but isn't this UK territory? At least we were all led to believe it was. This makes me proud, happy, and most of all, curious. Of course with all billboards, this one will come down eventually, but then I'm eager to see how long it stays.

Yes, I'm a little bit relieved coaches Bobby Petrino and Rick Pitino are perched up there for all to see. Oh, and GO CARDS!
