I'd imagine most of us have been touched by Alzheimer's Disease in some way. My great-uncle, Uncle Forrest, who passed away in 1987 had Alzheimer's, as did the mother of one of my best friends. It's rough.

So you look for "little victories," so to speak. Those moments that, in spite of it all, are uplifting.

In the face of something as seemingly mean-spirited as Alzheimer's, it's great to have times like this one (but it's still a tough watch):
