They say music hath charms to soothe the savage beast. Well it also hath charms to soothe the not-so-savage beast. Even when they don't need soothing.

The New Hot 5, an American jazz band, were traveling through the French countryside and decided to stop their vehicle, get out their instruments, and play a little "When the Saints Go Marching In" for a herd of cows.

And, it would seem, the cows loved it.

I may have to try that. I mean, I don't play the tuba or anything, but I have a music player. I feel another experiment coming on.

(By the way, I'm an instant fan of the guy at the end getting the clarinet player to pose for a picture. Classic.)
