April Fool’s Day — When Did This Start?

April Fool's Day. Fun times. But, that first one was not too much of a blast. We had just changed the calendar. Yeah, if my memory serves, it was 1552 and some smart a-- figured out the calendar was all messed up. So, they rolled back the beginning of the year to January 1. See, up until then we celebrated on April 1. So on that first one every one came around trying to see if you were celebrating New Year's April 1. If you were they called you an "April Fool". It caught on and today everyone tries to make you an April Fool.
