WBKR is teaming up with Trunnell’s Farm Market to find the next ‘Rod-Iron Chef!’ For the second year in a row, we are looking for some folks to cook us up an awesome, farm-fresh recipe and bring it to Trunnell’s on Saturday, August 27th! There, our lucky winner . . . the next “Rod-Iron Chef America” . . . is going to win $250 worth of farm- fresh goodies from Trunnell’s, plus a grandstand box with 6 tickets to WBKR’s Taste of Country Concert featuring Josh Turner, Josh Thompson, Steve Azar, Glen Templeton and Straight Laced! So, what are you waiting for? Cook us up a mess of somethin’!
The rules for “Rod-Iron Chef America” are simple. All you have to do is come up with a recipe that includes one or more of the following farm-fresh ingredients that are available at Trunnell’s Farm Market on Hwy 431. Those ingredients are: sweet corn, tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, cantaloupe, watermelon, peaches, eggplant, cucumber, yellow squash, zucchini, green bell peppers, red bell peppers, serrano peppers, jalapenos, Cayenne peppers, green beans, banana peppers, candy onions, green onions, and potatoes!
After you come up with your recipe, contact email@example.com and let him know what you plan to make. Then, we’ll set up a time for you to come to the station (the week of August 22nd) to share your recipe on air! After that, we’ll book your place in the grand prize event on Saturday, August 27th!! There are just ten slots available and we expect them to fill up quickly! So, contact Chad today!
On August 27th, we’ll have a big old taste-test at Trunnell’s (with a celebrity panel of judges) and the winner will be crowned! Our next “Rod-Iron Chef America” is going to win an awesome prize package with free food from Trunnell’s and Taste of Country concert tickets!
