This weekend, there are several events going on in downtown Evansville including our own Evansville Outdoor Expo! We wanted to make sure you had a parking plan before heading down to the Old National Events Plaza, so to help you, here a nifty map!
Last week, Renee Villatoro, mother of two, took her infant, two-year-old and niece and nephew to Kentucky Kingdom. (As the mother of a two-year-old, I'm already in awe of this woman.) While the older children were riding a ride, she took her two children to a nearby rock and sat down to nurse her fussy infant.

On Saturday, July 19, 2014 SMILE on Down Syndrome will be hosting their second annual Trucks & Heroes event from 9am-12pm at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. The first hour will be siren-and-lights-free for guests with sensory issues, including guests who are on the autism spectrum.
My daughter, Emmerson, is entering a really fun age. Now, instead of me sitting at a play-place eating French fries and watching her make friends while I small chat with the other moms, dads, and occasional grandmas and grandpas, we like to “go on dates” together. This simply means we go somewhere that we can sit down, chat, and share a meal together and eventually try to catch a cheap movie.
I’m not one of those people that has an emergency generator under a tarp in my back yard. I don’t stock MREs in my basement or have shelves of canned food that I rotate regularly. Honestly, I wish I were, because you never know what might go wrong.
I always love it when talk show hosts are accosted by wild animals. Nothing is funnier than a giant bird flapping the fake hair off someone who is trying to keep it together. Now, you can get up close and personal with one of TV's hottest animal handlers.
Our local NWTF chapter, the Tri-State Thundering Toms, would like to welcome kids and their families out to the West Side Sportsman’s Club at 1000 N Peerless Rd. in Evansville this Saturday, June 21st from 9AM-3PM for their Annual Jake’s Day PLUS event. Jake’s Day is fun for the whole family! Kids can enjoy a free lunch, learn gun, campfire and boating safety, check out the Goose Hunt Simulator, do a little fishing in the Casting Contest, and much more!
