Not only is Rosine's Alex Taylor a writer and a college instructor, he's a PUBLISHED author and me and my family couldn't be more proud.
For as long as I can remember, Alex was writing stories. I would go in his room and see piles of notebook paper with his signature barely legible writing on the front and back of each page
It's apparent Taylor Swift is going in a bold new direction with her contributions to the upcoming The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond soundtrack. If you heard her collaboration with The Civil Wars, "Safe and Sound" and though, eh, maybe a little too weird, then I think "Eyes Open" will improve your attitude.
Okay, in a previous post, I lamented about my worry and my panic over filling out my various NCAA brackets. However, I decided to throw all caution to the wind and take a risk by filling out my WBKR pool bracket as fast as I could.
Even the President of the United States catches March Madness. It was confirmed tonight President Obama AND British Prime Minister David Cameron will attend the first play-in game of the tournament in Dayton, Ohio, which just happens to be between Western Kentucky University (GO TOPS!) and Mississippi Valley State.
I don't how it happened, but "March Madness" snuck up on me this year. This week, I received at least three email invitations and one Facebook message to get in on an NCAA pool. The good thing about joining an online pool is, you usually don't have to make a monetary investment and you can win some sweet prizes, including money. But isn't spending money to make money the honorable thing to do? I fall for it everytime.
Although I don't regularly watch The Ellen DeGeneres Show, one of my favorite things she does is dance while circulating through the audience before sitting down and getting the show rolling. And how can you not dance along at home? I do!
What's that you ask? The X-Factor is back already?...with audition dates for season 2. Big cities the show will hit beginning in March and ending in May will include Kansas City, Austin TX, San Francisco, and--this is the odd one--Greensboro NC.
Although the very great loss of pop star Whitney Houston loomed over Sunday night's Grammy awards, another name caught my eye in the "In Memoriam" section of the show. I saw the name "Hazel Dickens" and I started to wonder where in the world had I heard that name before?
It's a good thing I have a smart phone or I wouldn't have seen the breaking news on Twitter. #9 Murray State was the last undefeated team in the country. Thursday night, Tennessee State beat the Racers at home 72-68, proving the Ohio Valley Conference is no joke.
Welcome to February Sweeps! It's no surprise the Super Bowl, the Grammys, and this year's Oscars all air in February. It's also the time when networks roll out new shows, like NBC's Smash, to try to gain a consistent audience. However, I'm not the usual TV viewer and a new show on the National Geographic channel has reeled me in: Doomsday Preppers.
Yes, Reba McEntire is the latest singer to fall victim to an internet death hoax. Both Cher and Jon Bon Jovi have met the same false fate over the past two months.
