I am originally from Hartford, Kentucky. I spent a lot of my early years tagging along with my Dad to various sporting events, so needless to say, I love sports! I My favorite sports are basketball, baseball, football, tennis. My favorite team bar none is the St. Louis Cardinals. I love TV way too much! A partial list of my favorite shows would include The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black, American Horror Story, Downton Abbey, Pretty Little Liars, House of Cards, Face Off, The Big Bang Theory, you get the idea. My music taste is varied, I like k.d. lang, Lady GaGa, Reba, Dolly, Loretta, Old Crow Medicine Show, Ryan Adams, Alabama Shakes, John Prine, Madonna, Radiohead, and lots more. My hobbies include reading, writing, blogging and spending time with my niece Zoey. I started my broadcasting career in 1998 at Western Kentucky University and I have been involved in radio ever since.

Kentucky Unseen Photo Exhibit Now Open At John James Audubon Park

Linda Bruckheimer, wife of Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimier, grew up in Louisville. She moved to California as a teenager. She's written two best-selling novels about Kentucky. Now, a very special photography exhibit about Kentucky roadside attractions that was inspired by Bruckheimer's childhood trip with her mother along Route 66 is on display at John James Audubon Park in Henderson.

Dude Wipes Take Me By Surprise [PHOTO]

I don't get caught of guard in the grocery store all that often. Alas, it happened over the weekend. Just imagine, you are scanning the toilet paper/wipe section (I'm not ashamed!) and this black packaging jumps out at you. Dude Wipes? Seriously, and I'm sorry for being politically incorrect, it's 2016 (chuckle!) but 99.9 percent of wipe packaging is white or light blue. In other words, soothing. What is happening?

Movie Review: ‘The BFG’ [VIDEO]

Director Steven Spielberg is back in theaters this summer with a live-action adaptation of beloved British children's author Roald Dahl's 'The BFG'. The Big Friendly Giant is portrayed this year's Best Actor Oscar winner for Spielberg's 'Bridge of Spies', Mark Rylance. It's a wild ride through Great Britain, with places like Giant Country and the real Buckingham Palace.

The BFG uses 'giant speak' which invokes wrong syllables on common words, and you may have heard or read this kind of speak in Dahl's 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Here's a clip.

New ‘The Walking Dead’ Mural Debuts In Cynthiana, Kentucky [VIDEO]

This is really cool. A new mural, see it here, has been painted in Cynthiana, Kentucky paying homage to 'The Walking Dead' TV series. In case you didn't know, creators Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore are both from Cynthiana in Harrison County and in the 'The Walking Dead' graphic novels, Sheriff Rick Grimes, his family, and Shane are from the same town.
