I am originally from Hartford, Kentucky. I spent a lot of my early years tagging along with my Dad to various sporting events, so needless to say, I love sports! I My favorite sports are basketball, baseball, football, tennis. My favorite team bar none is the St. Louis Cardinals. I love TV way too much! A partial list of my favorite shows would include The Walking Dead, Orange is the New Black, American Horror Story, Downton Abbey, Pretty Little Liars, GIRLS, Sons of Anarchy, Face Off, The Big Bang Theory, you get the idea. My hobbies include reading, writing, blogging and spending time with my niece Zoey. ‘Bell Witch’ Author Pat Fitzhugh Speaking at Daviess County Public Library Thursday [VIDEO]

If you have lived in Kentucky or Tennessee, well anywhere, you've heard about The Bell Witch. Every time I would travel on I-24 to Nashville, I would see the exit for Adams, which is where the Bell family lived in early 19th-century. Daughter Betsy would invoke the wrath of a poltergeist and a haunting folklore legend was born. Author and paranormal adventurer Pat Fitzhugh will discuss his book on The Bell Witch at an appearance this Thursday (10/15) at 6:00 p.m. at the Daviess County Public Library.

WKU Volleyball Hosting ‘Hope 4 Harlie’ Night Friday

Eight-year-old Harlie Bryant from Beaver Dam is a fighter. She was diagnosed with a rare from of brain cancer in April of 2011. She and her family travel to Cincinnati every three months for routine testing and evaluation. I've only met her once, but I can tell you this, she is a firecracker! And one of her biggest loves and her biggest supporters is the WKU Volleyball team.

Kentucky Middle School Replaces Mirrors With Positive Signs

When I was in school, I don't remember a lot of girls crowding the mirrors, and I know I never did. The only thing I checked if I did look in the mirror was my hair. I would get frustrated if there was one hair out of place. I never cared about checking my make-up at school, because I barely wore any. Remember the saying, "school is not a fashion show"? I took the advice to heart.

One middle school in northern Kentucky is changing the conversation on body image and bathroom mirrors, by replacing the mirrors with positive messages.

Cubs Fan’s Professor Moves Midterm So He Can Attend Wild Card Game

I grew up watching the Chicago Cubs, Harry Carey, and whichever celebrity would butcher "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" at the seventh inning stretch and the team rarely saw a post season beyond the ivy at Wrigley Field. Yes, there was 2003, when an unsuspecting fan by the name of Steve Bartman reached for a foul ball, bobbled it, and Moises Alou lost out on making a critical catch in the Cubs' series with the eventual World Series champs Florida Marlins. Fast forward to 2015 and one Cubs fan is getting a little leeway on his midterm exam so he can see Chicago take on Pittsburgh this week.
