Erin Grant

I am originally from Hartford, Kentucky in Ohio County, which is 20 miles south of Owensboro. I spent a lot of my early years tagging along with my Dad to various sporting events, so needless to say, I love sports! My favorite sports are basketball, baseball, football, tennis. My favorite team bar none is the St. Louis Cardinals. I love TV way too much! A partial list of my favorite shows would include The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Glee, Pretty Little Liars, GIRLS, True Blood, Face Off, Survivor, The Big Bang Theory, you get the idea. My hobbies include reading, writing, blogging and spending time with my niece Zoey. I started my broadcasting career in 1998 at Western Kentucky University and I have been involved in radio ever since.

Taylor Swift Performs Second “The Hunger Games” Song In New Zealand

It's apparent Taylor Swift is going in a bold new direction with her contributions to the upcoming The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond soundtrack. If you heard her collaboration with The Civil Wars, "Safe and Sound" and though, eh, maybe a little too weird, then I think "Eyes Open" will improve your attitude.

NCAA Bracket Invitations=Panic Attack

I don't how it happened, but "March Madness" snuck up on me this year. This week, I received at least three email invitations and one Facebook message to get in on an NCAA pool. The good thing about joining an online pool is, you usually don't have to make a monetary investment and you can win some sweet prizes, including money. But isn't spending money to make money the honorable thing to do? I fall for it everytime.

As Gas Prices Rise, Erin Grant Misses Her Geo Metro

Okay, these are NOT the Geo Metros I remember. The Geo Metro I remember is the one I drove from early 1995-early 2000. The Metro was originally my Dad's, it was an '89 4-door sedan, which was a product of the second generation of the gas-efficient vehicles.

Grammy In Memoriam Includes Bluegrass Legend Hazel Dickens [VIDEO]

Although the very great loss of pop star Whitney Houston loomed over Sunday night's Grammy awards, another name caught my eye in the "In Memoriam" section of the show. I saw the name "Hazel Dickens" and I started to wonder where in the world had I heard that name before?

Murray State Is Undefeated No More

It's a good thing I have a smart phone or I wouldn't have seen the breaking news on Twitter. #9 Murray State was the last undefeated team in the country. Thursday night, Tennessee State beat the Racers at home 72-68, proving the Ohio Valley Conference is no joke.

Doomsday Preppers Is A Fun Way To “Bug Out”[VIDEO]

Welcome to February Sweeps! It's no surprise the Super Bowl, the Grammys, and this year's Oscars all air in February. It's also the time when networks roll out new shows, like NBC's Smash, to try to gain a consistent audience. However, I'm not the usual TV viewer and a new show on the National Geographic channel has reeled me in: Doomsday Preppers.
