Jaclyn Graves

I was born in Jackson, TN, but grew up Milan, TN and Mayfield, KY. Ever since I can remember, I've loved the stage. I started singing in public at the age of six at the First Baptist Church in Milan. When I got my first solo, my Mom said, “I didn’t even know she liked to sing!” Ha! I've been blessed to perform on many stages in my life and have even opened for Jake Owen, Eric Church, Gary Allan, Justin Moore, Kellie Pickler, Rodney Atkins, Montgomery Gentry and more. One of the coolest things I've been able to do is to sing (in Latin!) at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. Such a beautiful place and an unforgettable experience. I am a proud graduate of Western Kentucky University (Go Tops!) and a lifelong member of Kappa Delta sorority. As most of you know, I'm s HUGE sports fan! I even worked with the WKU men’s basketball team for 3 ½ years while at Western. Being that I grew up in Tennessee, I'm a Vols fan and a Titans girl! After living in Owensboro for only two weeks, I met Chad. (I knew no one, so I wasn't picky, ha!) We, obviously became instant friends and he convinced me to work here at WBKR. I started here on The Morning Show with Chad and Moon, but after my sweet and sassy Carsyn was born, early mornings just weren't going to cut it! I love the Midday Show and talking with y'all day after day. As you know, my Carsyn is my world and I appreciate y'all letting my go on and on about her! I LOVE country music... from Waylon to the Randy Rogers Band, my baby-daddy Luke and the Florida Georgia Line! Being a part of our community thru WBKR is my favorite part of my job! Y'all are the best listeners ever!

The Kids From “Rugrats” Would Be HOW Old?

1991. That's when the first episode of Nickelodeon's "Rugrats" aired. I grew up watching Tommy Pickles, Chuckie, Angelica, Phil and Lil and the rest of those crazy kids and still catch an episode every now and then.

You can imagine my surprise when scrolling thru my Twitter feed, I noticed a picture that The 90s Life posted about how old these kids would be now. Let's just say my mouth dropped open and it made me feel really, really old.

Go ahead, take a look... I think you'll be surprised, too!

Drowning Doesn’t Always Look Like Drowning: Signs To Look For

It happens every year. As soon as the weather gets a little warmer, there's always a story on the news reporting an accidental drowning of a child. I think when us parents see that, we rush the unimaginable of that happening to us out of our minds as quickly as we can. I think we stupidly also think, "Well, I'd know if my child was drowning". That's not true at all.

The signs of drowning aren't always what you see in the movies. Drowning can be a very quiet, splash-free accident.
