My background wasn't always in country music. Although I love the format, I worked at a rock station in northern Michigan before my move to Kentucky in 1994.

My radio career started when I was in college and dating a disc jockey who said that with my personality and voice, that I should try being a jock at the college radio station. This was before CD's and computers so I was spinning albums. If you had to go to the bathroom you'd better find a long song or there was a problem only a pair of Depends could solve! Needless to say, I caught the bug and have done radio almost every single weekend since. Over the years I've always been asked why I don't do radio full time, but I've always considered it a fun hobby.

After college I was in the corporate world during the week and working at 97.5 - 98.9 Double Rock KLT in Northern Michigan on the weekends. I had a show on Sunday nights called Sunday Night Classics where I played all classic rock. I got to go to some awesome rock concerts rubbing elbows with the likes of Ozzy, Tesla, Ted Nugent, Metallica and more great rockers! It was a fun time for sure.

Then in 1994 my corporate job brought me to Owensboro, Kentucky and then to 92.5 WBKR where I've resided on weekends over the last 20 years. Until now! I still can't believe I decided to go full time after all of these years, but if ever there was a time, it's now! To be in the community, with you, the listeners is such a blessing that I couldn't refuse. How blessed am I?
