Football is so much more than just what happens on the field and the Cincinnati Bengals get it. Devon Still was recently cut from the Bengals active roster. Devon, after playing for the Bengals for a few years was coming off an injury and recently distracted by a family illness. Devon's four year-old daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer, in June. As you can imagine, Devon's job was the last thing on his mind.

The Bengals then did something beyond the gridiron... they did something amazing. They resigned Devon to their practice squad, in order to help him cover the cost of treatment for his daughter's illness. He has since been added to the active roster.

According to several news reports, including this one from ESPN, Devon will be included in the NFL's medical insurance coverage. Leah's treatment has been estimated at $1 million and her chances for survival are 50/50.

The Bengals organization continues to show support not only to Devon's daughter, but to children everywhere fighting cancer. They are selling Devon's #75 jersey, with all the proceeds benefiting pediatric cancer research.

We'll be praying for you and your daughter, Devon. And, to the Bengals... thank you for realizing that football is much more than just a game.
