Bernie is one of our own. He grew up on King Rd. in Philpot and lived around the Knoxville/Maceo area most of his life. He has a beautiful daughter, a wonderful son and a grandson he adores. He's also been blessed to have a job he loves, working at Castlen Steel as Matt's right-hand man. Although, his life has been blessed, he's now fighting for his life and needs our thoughts and prayers. And, help with medical bills and expenses.

I talked to his sister Rose this morning, and the family's world has been turned upside down by the diagnosis. Rose said, "Bernie has always given so much to so many and deserves the best." I couldn't help but tear up when I learned more about Bernie, his family and his life. Things just aren't fair sometimes. We pray for peace in these difficult days.
