Billy Dean Wakes Dave Spencer Out of Dead Sleep

Last Tuesday morning, my phone rang while I was sound asleep. When I answered it, I heard, "Is this Dave Spencer?" I said, "Yes." Then he said..."Well, this is Billy Dean."

I went, "Billy Dean? You mean, Billy Dean Billy Dean? THAT Billy Dean?"

Yep, he was THAT Billy Dean. The "Billy the Kid" "Only Here for a Little While" "If There Hadn't Been You" Billy Dean.

Billy runs a record label in Nashville called BDMG. And he's working a brand new artist named Jason Pritchett.

Billy asked me to play Jason on the air and get feedback. And then he gave me his mobile number and asked me call him back and let him know how it went.

I said sure.

Of course, I have no idea how he got my number, but he did. I'm sure it's okay.

Anyway, I've been on the road so much and busy getting ready for vacation that I put it off until this Wednesday (today, actually).
