"Early to bed, early to rise, fish like h$%! and make up lies". My Granddaddy used to have a cap with that slogan on it and about 60-70 percent of the time it's true. Don't tell that to Hunter Anderson from Danville.

Anderson and his wife were on their way back from Frankfort when they decided to stop at a private pond in Boyle County where they heard contained goldfish and koi fish.

Simple enough. However, Anderson wasn't completely prepared to fish. He did have a pole in his car but he needed bait. All he and wife had on them was a piece of Lee's biscuit, why not? So he dropped his line in the water and he waited.

He got a bite all right, wrestled with it and he pulled in...a twenty pound goldfish, maybe koi.

It just so happens Anderson works part-time at a bait and tackle shop and he was on Eastern Kentucky University's bass fishing team at one time. But he's never seen anything like what he caught in Boyle County.

Does this mean fish really do grow when you flush them?
