Some of our heroes are young girls. Like 13-year-old Jayci Glover of Kanab, Utah. I learned of this angel in People.  You see Jayci is dying from a rare lymphoma cancer. Her family applied to the wonderful Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant Jayci a last wish. She asked for a scoreboard for her school. A scoreboard for her school. Not for her. For her friends and fellow students.

On February 12, Kanab High School received a check for $7,500 in Jayci's name to use toward the scoreboard. The boy's basketball team also paid tribute by sporting shirts reading 'Fight Like Jayci.' Players also gave her roses and a hug and a kiss before their game.

She's been serenaded by Jordan Sparks on You Tube.

According to Townsquare Media, "Jayci had been undergoing treatment in Salt Lake City, but returned home earlier this month to a throng of well-wishers. Jayci was blown away by the scene, saying, 'I tried to wave and smile but everyone was crying. [There were] a lot of people. It was kind of overwhelming, but really awesome'."

Of course the family has tremendous bills to pay. If you'd like to help, contribute here.
