Last Thursday,

a cat named Apple came in to the station with our good friend, John Austin, from Sparky!  All day, Thursday and Friday, my coworkers were telling me non-stop that I needed to get this cat and take it home.  So I made the call and gave Apple a forever home.

First things first... new name.  John Austin said that someone had found him near Reid's Orchard and took him in to Sparky, so that was how the name Apple came around.  It's a pretty cool name, but I've always had a name in mind for my pet, and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.  Bronson, the cat.  That's my new cat, and he is a piece of work.

So here he is.  My little Bronson.  Piece of work.... yes.  He sleeps all day, and gets up at night when I'm trying to sleep, playing with everything he can get his paws on.  He is good at opening drawers, getting things out of them, and running amok all night.

He's a big, lazy baby, 36 inches long from head to toe.. that's head to toe, not head to tail.  He's long!

He is very 'all over the place,' and he loves to be on top of everything all the time, unless he sleeping.  I was napping on the couch and he thought it was time for me to wake up, so he knocked some stuff off of my desk to wake me up.  Thanks, buddy.  Now, this little spot here is where he likes to spend some of his time.  I got home on Saturday evening and....

Yes, my prized sunglasses lamp hit the floor and basically exploded, strewing my sunglasses everywhere.  He thought I wouldn't notice, and he sort of laid on the couch like... "What?  I didn't do that."

You can clearly see that the edge of the couch is his favorite spot, and earlier I mentioned that he is three feet long.  He's insane and lazy, but he's not fat enough yet.

He likes to jump up here and go to sleep.  Usually, when I can't find him anywhere, he is up there, sleeping on my clothes.

He isn't a bad cat, but he sure is ignorant, and kind of shy, too.  He likes to mess around with everything possible, but if you turn the corner and catch him, he quickly stops whatever he's doing and rubs his face on your leg.

Piece of work.
