Don't let temperatures in the 80s in early November fool you. Winter IS coming. It says so on my calendar. So despite the amazing temperatures we've been experiencing, we just KNOW it's gonna feel a lot different in a couple of months, right?

But just HOW cold will it get?

Here's another query:

How cold CAN it get?

This is the one I don't want to think about.

But The Weather Channel? Well, they HAVE been thinking about it. In fact, they've thought about it for all 50 states.

Check out the video here and you'll find out how cold it can get in Kentucky and Indiana, based on the lowest temperatures ever recorded in our respective states.

A couple of things jumped out at me.

TWELVE DEGREES IN HAWAII?!?

That had to have happened on the peak of one of those mountains.

But there ARE no mountains in Florida. There are barely any hills. Yet, at some point in time, it was two degrees below zero in the Sunshine State.

I'm sure they thought it was the end of the world. I would have.

So did you see those numbers for Kentucky and Indiana?

That's a big  "NO THANK YOU" from yours truly.

The coldest temperature I ever remember was 18 below in 1989.

The pipes in my house froze and I spent the night seriously bundled up in front of a gas fireplace set to HIGH.

I have no desire to EVER see anything resembling what The Weather Channel has shown us.

There ain't enough coffee and hot chocolate in the WORLD!
