Bucks vs Ducks – The Big Time Championship

It is the big day for the NCAA.  The Buckeye fans of the world are sweating, and the Duck fans are wanting a win against O.S.U.  Let's take a look at what is going to happen tonight.

So the Buckeyes laid down the upset in the Sugar bowl against Alabama, and the Ducks did what they did against Florida State in the Rose Bowl.  Now that they meet up for the Championship, there are tons of things to look at.

Injuries

There is always this.... the Buckeyes are hurting without J.T. and Braxton. With Braxton Miller out, it's the turn of the 3rd string quarterback Cardale Jones.  I'd say that Cardale is probably pretty nervous, considering this is only his third career start... why not make it the Championship?  Other than that though...  oh wait... did I say that the Buckeyes are hurting without Braxton? Wish we had you back. Mr. Miller, but my boy, Jones, is on FIRE. Five hundred yards, four touchdowns, and only one little mishap interception pass in the last three games isn't too bad.  And when he hands the ball to Ezekiel Elliott, it's going to be an excellent show, just as long as he keeps those legs moving.

Ohio State isn't the only one's hurting, though.  Oregon has a serious player out.  Ifo Ekpre-Olomu.  The senior has had a pretty impressive career since 2011,and losing him for the biggest game of the year isn't pretty.  Devon Allen is expected to be out for this match up, as well. Other than having a couple of vital players out of the running, if Oregon can prevent turnovers, it will give them some serious momentum.

A Sweet Fact

I love this part.  Way back in 1939, Oregon beat Ohio State in basketball by a score of 46-33.  Projections are saying that this Championship NCAA Football game will be higher scoring than that.  Oregon is on fire offensively and are averaging over 47 points per game.  The Buckeyes are averaging 45 which is, well, less, but remember when we were talking about turnovers and all that.  Oregon must watch it!
