If you've driven north on Frederica Street this week, you've noticed that you can only get so far.  CSX is currently upgrading rail crossings at the intersection of Frederica and 11th Streets and the work is going to take a little longer than expected.

Rail upgrades began Monday morning and was originally expected to be completed in 2-3 days, according to a press release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.  Now, KTC says that work will be completed sometime on Saturday instead.

The good news is that there will be marked detours via Parrish Avenue, JR Miller Boulevard, and 4th & 5th Streets.

CSX will attempt to provide timely notice when the crossing is reopened to traffic.
