Last night, Kevin and I saw Cam in concert at the Ryman in Nashville.   I have to admit.  I have been going to concerts since I was ten-years-old and I have seen just about everybody live.  From Shaun Cassidy to Janet Jackson to Madonna to MC Hammer to Garth Brooks, the Dixie Chicks, George Strait and more.  Seriously.  I can't even begin to recall how many concerts I have been to.   But, I can tell you this.  Without question, Cam, rather surprisingly, is Top Five All-Time.  She was incredible.  However, she sang the absolute worst song I have ever heard.  It's called "Echo Mountain."  It's a story about a beloved hound, a newborn baby and a shotgun.  You've been warned!

Just an FYI, that's not video from the Ryman.  It's from an earlier concert. However, it pretty much captures last night's mood and performance.  I sat in my seat- Section 4, Row M, Seat 2- and pretty much wanted to sob my guts out.

But Cam is the real deal.  To me, she's the new country generation's Dolly Parton.  She is an amazing singer, songwriter, storyteller, comedienne and personality.  She blew us away with her songs, the stories behind them and some surprise special guests like this guy . . .

Yes!  That happened.  I suppose it made up for the song about the dog.
