The nominees for the 2016 CMT Music Awards were announced Monday and Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, and Cam all have three nods a piece. 

Underwood's "Smoke Break" is up for "Video of the Year", "Female Video of the Year" and her performance of the single at the CMT Instant Jam is up for "CMT Performance of the Year".

Stapleton's powerful clip for "Fire Away" is up for "Video of the Year" and "Breakthrough Video of the Year". His performance of "Nobody to Blame" at the CMT Artists of the Year show is up for "CMT Performance of the Year"

Cam's clip for "Burning House" is up for "Video of the Year", "Female Video of the Year" and "Breakthrough Video of the Year"

Also among the "CMT Performance of the Year" nominees is Adam Lambert and Leon Lewis' take on Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" at last year's CMT Artists of the Year show.
