As we all know, Carsyn does not do well with characters in costumes in person. We've never had a picture with Santa and just a few weeks ago, we had to leave the rodeo after being there for 30 minutes because of the clowns. So, I know what you're thinking,"You're crazy if you think she's going to take a picture with the Easter Bunny!" Haha! Well, I reaaaally thought this trip was different! You see, I have a picture of her at about eight months old with the Easter Bunny. She loves it! And, for the last month or so, has been talking about taking a new picture with him!

We were SO excited talking about going to TowneSquare Mall and hanging out with the fuzzy little fella! Monday night was the night we'd been waiting for! So, what happened?!? Did Carsyn take her picture with the Easter bunny??

In one word.... No. Nope, not this time. But, we actually went up on the Easter scene and stood in line, twice. Just being this close to him was a huge improvement from anything else we've tried to take her picture with, ha!

I'll be honest, my patience really gets tested on situations like this. I know that there is no way the Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, etc will hurt her. I know that once she gets up enough courage to talk to whomever we're trying to bribe her into taking a picture with,  she'll end up loving it! I had to remind myself that she actually tried... twice. So, after scurrying away from the unassuming bunny, I kneeled down and told her that I understood that she's scared. I told her that sometimes we just have to do something for the first time to get over being scared. And, I told her that I was proud of her for trying and that one day, we'll love taking pictures with him!

Then, she wanted to watch the other little kids take their pictures and wave at the bunny from a comfortable distance away. We got a cookie with icing and called it a day. Maybe when she's "big like you Mommy", we'll get a few memories on film. Until then, I'll just do my best to keep my patience, ha!

Oh, here's what she had to say about the Easter bunny, "Mommy, I just like it when he visits my house when I'm asleep and brings me eggs." Haha!

Until next year folks!
