If you know anything at all about me, you probably know of my love for football. Growing up in Tennessee, I can't remember a time where I didn't watch the sport. I became a Tennessee Titans fan when I was attending WKU in Bowling Green and have been one ever since. Sharing my love for football, especially my love for the Titans with Carsyn has been awesome! Today, we got to attend our first training camp practice together and it was perfect.

Even though we had to leave super early, I knew we had to get a good spot in line. I can't believe it either, but we got there 45 minutes before practice even started and got a great spot along the fence to watch. The fact that Carsyn loves football as much as I do and sincerely wants to learn more about the sport makes my heart so happy! She was SO excited about every drill and aspect of the practice and asked tons of questions about what was going on. Truth is, she was most excited about the autographs after practice. The team has certain players that sign autographs for the fans after each practice and some of her favorites were slated for today. All she wanted was to get Charlie Whitehurst and Zach Mettenberger's signature on her Titans flag to hang in her room. (She has a thing for quarterbacks, I have no clue where she gets that from, ha!) So, practice wrapped up and it was her time. She was nervous, but was ready to get her flag signed. First player we see was Avery Williamson. All you Kentucky Kittycat football fans remember Avery from his days playing in Lexington. Fun fact... Avery and I are both from the same hometown of Milan, Tennessee, so I was very excited to talk with him. Total class act, by the way, and a force on the field. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw Charlie and worked up enough courage to get his autograph. Then followed Marmaduke (her loving nickname for Mettenberger) and Dexter McCluster, rounding out three of her favorite players. If we would have thrown in Santa Claus, she may have not been able to handle the excitement! Oh, I'm not referring to the real Santa, I'm talking about Taylor Lewan. He dressed up as Santa's helper for some kids during Christmas and ever since Carsyn watched that video, she's only referred to him as Santa Claus, ha!

Sure, today was a great football day. Being that close to the players and really seeing how practice works was a fans dream. But, more importantly, my girl and I got to spend some time together doing what we both love. My little football loving girl, my cup just runneth over.
