The Owensboro Rage (Owensboro's professional indoor football team) has won their first game in team history, Sunday night at the Next Level Sports Complex. The Rage put up 60 points as they defeated the Cincinnati Bulldogs 60-0, in a shortened game at Ramada Inn Field, due to fourth quarter forfeit.
The week of Christmas, I had the pleasure of broadcasting live from the Owensboro Museum of Science and History. I hate to admit this, but in my six and a half years of living here, it was my very first time to visit the museum! Even though I didn't really know what to expect, I was very surprised at how many cool things the museum has to offer!

Over the weekend, the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 100th anniversary with more than 500 business members, leaders, and guests. Several awards were given that evening including the Member of the Century and the Joe Lowe Communicator of the Year.

Six local non-profit organizations are coming together in celebration of March being Disability Awareness Month with an awesome event here in Owensboro. Puzzle Pieces, Wendell Foster’s Campus for Developmental Disabilities, Dream Riders of Kentucky, Team Karlie, Two Rivers Buddy Ball and Green River Area Down Syndrome Association are collaborating together to host a Color Blast 5K (walk/run) in English Park to honor individuals who have unique qualities and abilities.

The Owensboro Convention Center invites to the the ceremonial "Topping Out" celebration. City, county and Industrial Development (IDA) officials along with General Contractor Denark Construction, Trahan Architects and operator, Global Spectrum, are planning for the ceremony over a two-day schedule; January 10th and 11th.
Owensboro’s ceremony is adding a unique twist to the traditional ceremony by allowing the public to participate. The two-day schedule creates the opportunity to allow the general public to participate on Thursday, January 10th as they will be invited to sign the beam for a small contribution to the United Way of the Ohio Valley.
