The Battle for the Big O finale is coming up 7pm, Saturday, July 26th at Diamond Lake's Good Time Theatre and we really believe we have assembled our strongest Top 12 in the five year history of our annual talent search. And rounding out the line-up for the final will be The Valentears. The group's frontman, Daniel Carroll, showed up at our Show Me's of Owensboro audition and topped 19 other acts to earn a spot in the finale. Check out the version of "Strawberry Wine" that got him there. This is pretty cool!
All week long here at WBKR.com, we have been introducing you to the acts that have made the finals of the 2014 Battle for the Big O presented by Henderson Chevy Buick GMC. And we have two more left. Our auditions at The Boiler Room in Owensboro brought Aaron Pate and Kentucky Clear to the audition stage and they won the night with this performance. WATCH!

Among the finalists is Ohio County's Adam Scott. Normally, Adam is on the road with the country music group Parmalee. (He's their merchandise guy). But, Adam's got chops of his own! Check this out. Not only is Adam a great singer; he's a great songwriter too. And at our Battle auditions in Beaver Dam he blew us away with an original song. This is sensational. WATCH!

We have $1,000 up for grabs and the chance to open the 2014 Liquid Ninja Big O Music Fest. And this young lady from Owensboro is one of our youngest finalists ever and she is proof that patience and hard work pay off. Kennedy McCollam auditioned at two of our Battle auditions and was passed over by the judges. But, at Beaver Dam Park in Ohio County, Kennedy showed up with guitarist Riley Roth and the two blasted their way into the finale. Check out the rendition of "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree" that earned them a spot!
