September 25, 2012 Pumpkinfest was a total blast...and that was just the PLANNED events and activities. I was heading toward the stage to announce another musical act on Saturday when Townsquare Media/WBKR Events Coordinator Melanie Leach walked up to me and announced, "We have a flash mob." Very cool.
September 25, 2012 I love a challenge. And Saturday at Pumpkinfest I got a big one from young Cameron Casey. He challenged me to a duel inside the Incredible Inflatables joust and bet me a slab of pralines and cream fudge! Needless to say . . . it was on. WATCH! This kid had no clue he was up against CHAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME!
September 24, 2012 We had a ball over the weekend hosting Pumpkinfest, which included WBKR's "The Run for Your Life" Zombie Run, The Pumpkin Princess Pageant and more. On Saturday, Kizzy joined us for some fun and hitched a ride on the Lil' Smiling Choo Choo, which took guests on a scenic ride through Moreland Park. Kizzy's ride was scenic too . . . but a little noisier than the rest of the rides. Watch! This is a scream. And pay extra special attention about 3 and half minutes in when Kizzy unknowingly stops a tennis tournament in its tracks. The players have no idea what hits em!

September 23, 2012 The Pumpkinfest was a great success. Lots of folks turned out at the Sportscenter on an unbelievable fall weekend in Owensboro. It was a lot of fun hangin' out at the Pumpkinfest this weekend, to be sure. But my favorite part, bar none, was the Zombie Run.
September 20, 2012 WBKR's 'The Run for Your Life" Zombie 5K is Friday night and we're ready to unleash dozens of zombies onto the streets of Owensboro. As you know, our Zombie Run is not a typical 5K event. No! Our runners are going to be chased by zombie, who will be hot in pursuit of our runners, trying to rip their flesh . . . er . . . we mean their flags from them. We expect lots of screaming and lots of frantic running through the streets around the Moreland Park area. Because of that, we have prepared and will be circulating a letter to residents in the area to warn them . . . THE ZOMBIES ARE COMING! September 20, 2012 The Demolition City Roller Derby presents Guns & Hoses Night! Saturday, September 22nd is going to be a really fun night! There will be a custom set of Guns & Hoses cornhole boards up for grabs in a raffle. Also, how fun is this?!? At halftime, the Mop Bucket Races will feature police vs. fireman!
