The 2012 Thunder Roads Kentucky and Owensboro Biker News Holiday Bash is tonight! Formerly called The Bikers Ball, over the three previous Christmas seasons, this event has been one of, if not the largest contributor to the Western Kentucky Toys for Tots fundraising campaign. This event has assisted the Toys for Tots campaign, along with many other local businesses in helping take care of thousands of children each year in the 11 local counties serviced by the GySgt. W.J. Norris Detachment #804 Marine Corps League.

A benefit dinner and silent auction is being held in support of Avery Jo Murphy and her fight against leukemia. The event is Saturday, November 10th at St. Pius Parrish Hall. The doors open at 5:00pm. Tickets for the event are $10.00.

Brasher Bogue will be headling a benefit show at Pangea Cafe (1320 Carter road, Owensboro) raising money for the Joe Ford Nature Center and the Raptor Club. On Saturday, November 3rd, Owensboro Therapeutic Massage is hosting a fundraiser for Aaron Simmons. Call to schedule an appointment for a massage or facial and half the proceeds will be donated to Aaron and his family to help with medical bills due to a severe back injury.

Avery Murphy is the two year-old daughter of Jamie and Jeremy Murphy. She has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. All proceeds from the event will be donated directly to the family to help pay for any medical expenses.
There will be a cornhole tournament Saturday, September 22nd at 2:00pm at Roca Bar. (Hwy 54 in Owensboro) The cost is $20.00 per team.
