First Christian Church in Owensboro Still On Fire [PHOTOS]

I did not attend First Christian Church growing up, nor have I ever been inside of it. But, hearing about the fire this morning, my heart was broken for everyone that had. I think we all have churches that have molded us into who we are today and churches that house life-changing moments that we'll never forget. Today, that place for so many, is gone.

The fire inside First Christian, according to the OPD, began shortly after 3:00am. WBKR's Chad Benefield went to scene around 10:00am and the church was still on fire. He took some photos of the church. It's so sad to see these photos and know all of the history and memories that will always remain although the church will not.

In 2013: Discover The Owensboro Museum Of Science And History [PHOTOS]

The week of Christmas, I had the pleasure of broadcasting live from the Owensboro Museum of Science and History. I hate to admit this, but in my six and a half years of living here, it was my very first time to visit the museum! Even though I didn't really know what to expect, I was very surprised at how many cool things the museum has to offer!

New Movie “The Impossible” Chronicles Deadly 2004 Tsunami [Video]

I remember waking up and hearing the news about 2004's deadly tsunami in the Far East.  It seemed that for months raw video footage of that event surfaced as did harrowing accounts of survival.  I vividly remember an episode of Oprah in which Oprah staff member Nate Berkus shared a voicemail he left for his mother shortly after the disaster struck.  Nate was there vacationing with his partner Fernando, who was swept away by the waves and never found.  Hundreds, thousands of similar stories surfaced and all were terrifying.  Now, a new film called The Impossible recounts that tragic day and focuses on one family's attempt to survive.  Take a look at the trailer.  This looks unbelievable!

Weird New Age Website Is Confused About ‘End of Time’

So, I Googled 12-12-12. I got all sorts of things, including a math problem. Yep, 12-12-12 = -12. Well, I kinda figured that. See, I wanted to find out what's happening on this rarest of occasions. It only happens once a century, after all.

‘Lincoln’ Lives Through Daniel Day-Lewis in Terrific New Spielberg Film [VIDEO]

Abraham Lincoln drove people crazy.  And, at the same time, he was so compelling a figure, you couldn't stay away. There wasn't an occasion for which Lincoln didn't have a corresponding story from his past. He was almost like the legendary TV detective Lieutenant Columbo--a very simple man with simple ways who was utterly brilliant and always had all the solutions.

A Blast at the Time, Banned Toys Really Don’t Make Sense Now

Remember lawn darts? Well, you'd have to have a decent enough memory to do so since they've been considered contraband ever since the discontinuation of their manufacture in 1988.

Via ESPN, Grinnell College's Jack Taylor shattered the NCAA scoring record (regardless of level) Tuesday night against Faith Baptist Bible College. The previous mark was 113 points by Clarence "Bevo" Fransic of Rio Grande in 1954. Just how many points did Taylor rack up?!?
