This past Saturday the temperature was around 70 and seems like everyone was out with their ladders putting up their Christmas lights and decorations and every year it has become a Horn family tradition the whole family piles in the car and cruise neighborhoods looking at Christmas lights, and one neighborhood we never miss is a home off of Highway 54 in Owensboro, I was lucky enough to find a video to share with you, this home would definately give Clark Griswold from the movie "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" a run for his money LOL.
It's hard to believe, but it's that time of year again...... CHRISTMAS WISH!! Monday morning, the Christmas Wish office officially opens at Towne Square Mall in Owensboro. And, beginning tomorrow, my Midday Show will be going LIVE from the office every weekday.
"Time-honored traditions" usually take time to become honored. But that no longer appears to be the case with Black Friday. The number of shoppers hitting the streets in the pre-dawn hours--and now, the pre-midnight hours--seems to have grown exponentially in recent years. But there are ways to be the tortoise and still beat the hare.
Black Friday means jam-packed department stores and malls! And, for the second year in the row, the annual shopping event means WBKR listeners decked out in our limited edition holiday t-shirts from Terry's Tees of Owensboro! And you guys know, wearing those t-shirts while you shop on Black Friday can earn you BIG reward! Just ask Lori Grant, who walked into Shoe Stop at 6am Friday morning and had no idea she was about to be pegged by our "secret Santa!"
You’ve got the meal all figured out, but there’s an entire day of preparation ahead of you and that means your family needs entertaining. You want to turn on the tube, but not lull the holiday spirit. Fortunatel
Thanksgiving 2011 is here. All the Country stars are off enjoying the holiday with their families and friends. But, before they took time off, we wanted to know what they're thankful for or what they plan on having for dinner today.
Finally, everything you're looking for about Thanksgiving — from the stories behind the holiday to awesome costumes to dress up your pets — is all in one place. If you need to throw together a last-minute feast, wow dinner guests with facts about Thanksgiving or just watch a bunch of hysterical turkey attack videos, this is the guide for you.
Gaylord Opryland's "A Country Christmas" has become one of my favorite holiday traditions. And this year Gaylord has added a new attraction called "Holly Jolly Town Square."
America's #1 holiday show, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the world famous Rockettes, has returned to Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville! In fact, this is the 10th anniversary edition and the Rockettes are celebrating with new costumes, new set, and brand new scenes, including a new finale called "Christmas Dreams!" To help spread the word about the Spectacular, running now through December 24th, Jaclyn and I met up with two of the dancers to chat about the 10th anniversary edition. And, while we were there, we managed to get a crash course in high kicks!!
Chad, Dave and I have been in Nashville experiencing Gaylord Opryland's A Country Christmas since yesterday and I finally was able to experience ICE! This year, ICE! has an all-new theme....DreamWorks Animation's Merry Madagascar.Personally, I was really excited because Madagascar is one of Carsyn's favorite movies and I just couldn't wait to see Alex, Gloria, Melman and Marty!
Check out these pics from our trip!
The Louise Mandrell Christmas Dinner Party is now playing at Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville and, last night, Jaclyn, Dave Spencer and I went to the show! Louise sang, danced, played a variety of instruments and told holiday stories about the Mandrell family. Before the show, the staff inside the Tennessee Ballroom served up an amazing holiday dinner with all the trimmings! And, when it was over . . . each table was served boxes of Christie Cookies! Well, naturally, we dug right in! But things started to get a little hairy when Jaclyn decided to see how many of the cookies she could stuff into my face! Watch!
