Most mug shots are anything but attractive. Just like Reese Witherspoon and her husband, Jim Toth's from Friday night.
Personally, I think they look pretty good, all things considered. She already looks ashamed. Must have been sobering up. I tell you, the
For the first time in the history of American Idol, there's an all female Top 5. And, last night, they tackled two songs a piece: a song from the year in which they were born and a song from a diva! So, how did they'd do? WBKR's American Idol expert Steve Thompson shares his review of last night's show!
There are many things in life that agitate, annoy, bug, anger me. I have decided -- from time to time as the mood strikes -- to share these with you, because you deserve it.
My first rant is shopping carts left in the parking lot
The Owensboro Mud Run is THIS Saturday at Diamond Lake Resort. This event is going to be awesome! Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and you can still register.
Chad is always coming up with crazy ideas that I basically have no say-so in and running this course beforehand is his latest! We went out to Diamond Lake Tuesday afternoon and actually ran the entire course! (I'm still sore, I have blisters and my left leg is jacked up!) Although all of the course wasn't constructed yet, we scaled a 6 foot wall (well, I basically face-planted), we crossed grown-man monkey bars, attempted the cargo net and Chad even got in the water for those three obstacles. Watch and be prepared to laugh!
This is my sweet dog Zoe. As I have told you before, Zoe has issues. She does some really weird things, like hardly eating her dry dog food at all. She prefers the cats’ dry food, my cereal and chips. The other day, I found she had ripped a napkin to shreds and I assume eaten portions of it.
I have my tickets! Do you have yours? The University of Southern Indiana Theatre Department proudly presents Avenue Q by Robert Lopez, Jeff Marx, and Jeff Whitty. The show opened last Friday night and played to sell-out crowds over the weekend. What do you expect from a musical that features puppets who sing, swear, and well, get jiggy on stage? I saw Avenue Q a few years ago on Broadway and absolutely loved it. And now, thanks to USI, I am getting the chance to see it again and take some friends along for the wild, zany, irreverent and hilarious ride.
I can't wait to tell Moon about this website. He may never leave the house again. LOL! I have a new Facebook friend that he is going to fall in love with. In fact, I think I have a new Facebook friend every single one of you may love. It's called The Drunken Spatula and the page shares delicious recipes that involve food, cocktails and, sometimes, both! Check this out.
I know what you are probably thinking "How can this guy not be able to tell the difference between a donkey and a dog?" Well I can tell the difference, but after spending the weekend helping my dad around the barn, I began to wonder
Until I was about 12 years old, my Sunday church outfit consisted of four things... a fancy dress, hose or ruffle socks, dress shoes and one heck of a bow. On special occasions, I might even put on a spiffy hat! Don't y'all remember Easter and Mothers Day when the elder women of the family would get a corsage to wear?!? Or is that just a Tennessee Southern-Baptist thing? Ha!
In my thirty years, I have worn jeans to Sunday morning service....once. It wasn't too long ago and I swear, I felt like the devil himself was setting my legs on fire! They itched the entire service and I swore I'd never do it again! And, so far, I haven't.
This morning in church, the pastor recommended to take over as senior pastor was preaching. I was SO excited to hear him preach and to see the new direction the church was taking. I almost gasp at his outfit when he walked up to the pulpit.
FINALLY! We are free at last! Free at last! Last night on American Idol, Lazaro, whom has been struggling for weeks, received the lowest number of votes and was voted off the Idol stage. For WBKR's Idol expert Steve Thompson, it was a long time coming and now the best five singers in the competition are left to battle it out!
Though ratings for American Idol continue to drop, the talent on the show continues to carry the weight of the series and rise above it. And, last night, Candice Glover gave one of the best performances in the history of the show and reminded viewers how good Idol CAN be when it does what it's supposed to . . . turn everyday singers into international superstars. As Steve Thompson explains, Candice's performance was one for the Idol history books!
