Missing Owensboro Man Last Seen In Florida

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office has released a missing persons report for Owensboro man, Bo Atchison. The 29 year-old male was last seen in Tallahassee. Florida several days ago. Mr. Atchison was on his was to Clearwater with Philip Smith.

According to the DC Sheriff's Office and his family, Bo has been diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, ADHD and has violent tendencies.

Owensboro Girl Wins “Stand Up & Sing” Contest in Nashville [Video]

This is really cool and this little gal is REALLY good!  12-year-old Kennedy McCollam of Owensboro recently competed in the Stand Up & Sing competition at Belcourt Taps in Nashville.  And she won!  She took first place in the Grand Finals by belting out an Etta James classic.  Take a listen and watch as Kennedy wows the crowd with her rendition of "I'd Rather Go Blind!"

Color Us Proud Owensboro’s Color Blast 5K

Six local non-profit organizations are coming together in celebration of March being Disability Awareness Month with an awesome event here in Owensboro. Puzzle Pieces, Wendell Foster’s Campus for Developmental Disabilities, Dream Riders of Kentucky, Team Karlie, Two Rivers Buddy Ball and Green River Area Down Syndrome Association are collaborating together to host a Color Blast 5K (walk/run) in English Park to honor individuals who have unique qualities and abilities.

I have been wanting to participate in a run like this for a while and can't wait to join in the fun on Saturday, March 23rd! You should come out too!

Matt Eckert Named New President off Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari

Matt Eckert, who has been at Holiday World and Splashin' Safari since 2000, was named as the new president of the iconic park in Santa Claus, Indiana. The park has been owned and operated by the Koch family since it opened on August 3, 1946 as Santa Claus Land and has grown to be one of the top amusement and waterparks in the country. Holiday World is also home to The Voyage roller coaster, which as of last year, was the number one rated wooden roller coaster in the world.
