I wrote about tonight's big bash elsewhere, but our season long reporting ace, Blake Smith, has arrived with even more details, especially about Junior.

The glitz and glam of the Las Vegas strip has had a “revved up” feeling about this week as the NASCAR community has been celebrating Championship week in Sin City. The cars of the top 12 in points have lined the strip since Wednesday, giving fans the opportunity to take a close look at the works of art.

NASCAR Champ Brad Keselowski Attempts To Shoot Hoops [VIDEO]

I think we've all heard the term "white men can't jump" but newly crowned Nascar Sprint Cup Champ Brad Keselowski gives the saying a whole new meaning. I stumbled upon this video where Keselowski, in a break at a Charlotte Bobcats game, tried to show off his shooting, dribbling, and passing skills.

Jeff Gordon Fined $100,000 And Docked 25 Points For Wrecking Clint Bowyer [VIDEO]

It was a melee for the ages, well at least for this season. With two laps to go in the Advocare 500 on Sunday, Jeff Gordon intentionally ran into Clint Bowyer, who had rubbed him and caused him to cut a tire earlier in the race. And as with many wrecks, Gordon decided to get in one final shot and pay back Bowyer. The wreck destroyed Bowyer's car and the ensuing events were not pretty.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Has Concussion [VIDEO]

Well, my man Dale Earnhardt Jr. gave it his all this 2012 race season: he had 1 win and numerous top 10 finishes and was locked in for the Chase for the Sprint Cup. After this past Sunday's Talladega race and a big crash on the last lap, it turns out Dale Jr. has a concussion, according to Hendrick Motorsports. Earnhardt will sit out Charlotte and Kansas, and Regan Smith will replace him in the No. 88 Chevrolet. Earnhardt was diagnosed Wednesday in Charlotte, the team said.

Tricky Triangle — Pocono NASCAR Preview

WBKR NASCAR Preview: Pennsylvania 400 by Blake Smith and Moon Mullins

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will make its 2nd trip of the season to the “Tricky Triangle” at Pocono in Long Pond, Pennsylvania for this weekend’s Pennsylvania 400. Joey Logano visited victory lane back in June after a late race battle with veteran, Mark Martin. This will also mark the 2nd trip since it was repaved during the off season.

Drivers and teams have had a busy week following Sunday’s race at the Brickyard. 28 drivers and teams visited the Michigan Speedway for a tire test on Monday. Top speeds at the end of the straight-aways topped 210 MPH with average speeds of 195 MPH. Tony Stewart took a break from the track and put developmental driver, Danica Patrick in his #14 Chevrolet in Monday’s test session. Danica continued her week of bad luck at the Brickyard when she made contact with the wall in the 2nd turn, early in the test session.
