Fallen Soldier Returns Home [VIDEO] [PHOTOS]
US Army Sgt. Michael Cable's body returned home Thursday morning. The Philpot 26 year old was killed while serving in Afghanistan last week.
Community members joined together this morning to show their support for Sgt. Cable and his family by lining up along the route from the airport to the funeral home.
I will never forget watching the processional of official vehicles, Patriot Riders and other organizations leading Sgt. Cable's body and family and close friends down Frederica Street. Three veterans stood with us in front of the station and seeing their reaction was very emotional. We tend to take for granted the freedoms what we have and the men and women who protect those freedoms. Sgt. Michael Cable and all that serve our great nation can never be thanked enough for their service.
