Last Saturday I went shopping, something I usually really enjoy. The reason I enjoy shopping is because I usually know what I want, I go in, get it, and leave. On this particular trip I decided to do a little more browsing and did not end up enjoying my trip.

March 7, 2013 First of all, I'm a huge fan of AMC's The Walking Dead, as you may know. Second, last Sunday's episode--entitled "Clear"--was the best episode, so far, since the series began. Great writing!

March 6, 2013 I'm gonna just lay it down for y'all... I LOVE Nelly.Yes, the rapper Nelly. Yes, the rapper Nelly who brought us such masterpieces as "Ride Wit Me" and "Apple Bottom Jeans". By the way, I know each and every word to both of those!
Now, a few years back, Tim McGraw gave Nelly a vocal-hand with "Over and Over". Of course, I loved it! Well, in Nelly's latest video, there is a pretty big teaser of (hopefully) what's to come! A certain 2012 country radio Number One is heard as he and his honey ride into the sunset. When I first heard it, I seriously bout lost it!
Country-rap is becoming pretty common these days with Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert and Colt Ford. I'm down with a rockin' remix... how about you?
March 6, 2013 "Baby you a song, you make me wanna roll my windows down and Cruise!" Yep, you can't help but sing along, ha! The Florida Georgia Line has taken country music by storm! Their debut single quickly went to number one and their latest, "Get Your Shine On" is sure to follow! They are currently on the road with my boyfriend, Luke Bryan, and are winning over audiences all over the country with their high energy shows and feel-good music.
Chad and I were lucky enough to snag a few minutes of BK and Tyler's time Tuesday at the Grand Ole Opry. We talked about everything... leather pants, moonshine, Tyler's jewelery obsession, BK laying around in his skibbies and I may have felt up one of their legs. Don't judge me, you would have done the same, ha!

March 4, 2013 Prom is right around the corner and high school juniors and seniors around the tristate are deciding who they're going to ask, when and where they're going to pop the question and how they're going to do it. Jacob Glenn, of Apollo High School, had a great idea! He came to the WBKR studios this morning and sent his proposal out over the airwaves. It was a brave choice, but we think he pulled it off pretty well. WATCH!
March 4, 2013 A couple of days ago, my friend Staci Scott posted this recipe on my Facebook page. She knows that I am an absolute slave to Girl Scout Cookies . . . specifically the Samoa. In fact, I emcee the Girl Scouts Desserts First event annually and pretty much do it in exchange for cookies. Yes, I proudly hold a cardboard sign that says "Will work for Samoas!" So, imagine my delight to see that Staci found a bundt cake recipe inspired by that very same cookie. Check this out!

March 1, 2013 On Saturday, March 16th at the Sportsman Club in Fulda, Indiana, there will be a wine tasting and dinner to benefit Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.
The Chateau restaurant will be catering dinner and three local wineries will be on hand for a tasting.
