After watching Louisville confuse and then throttle Connecticut on the road Monday night, I became even more impressed with Kentucky's 3-point loss at the Yum! Center a couple of weeks ago.
You've seen those half-court shot contests, right? Where a randomly-chosen fan gets to shoot the ball from mid-court and try to win a car or a house or a million dollars or something if he or she makes it?
Some images show that the ball was out of Nerlens Noel's hands when the shot clock expired. Some don't. I saw a big fat zero on that shot clock before the ball left his hands, but the TV shot clock still showed "01." Regardless, the basket was counted. And Kentucky went on to beat Vanderbilt in Nashville, 60-58.

Last night's National Championship Game between #2 Alabama and #1 Notre Dame was a whole lot more #2 than #1 (pardon the pun). Alabama put the smackdown on the Fighting Irish 42 to 14. The pre-game ceremonies had more fireworks than the actual game, thanks, in part, to Zac Brown Band, who came along to sing the National Anthem. Take a listen!

I really can't believe I am contributing to the madness. But, I grew up watching my grandfather yell at the television anytime the Kentucky Wildcats were playing basketball. He'd yell when they were awesome. He'd yell even louder when they were terrible. So, I completely understand that some people "bleed blue." I have seen it with my own eyes and heard it, repeatedly, with my own ears.
