When I was a kid, I loved watching The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. I remember thinking how cool it would be to have a bionic leg or bionic hearing or a bionic arm. While he never in a million years thought he would have a Steve Austin or Jamie Sommers-style accident and end up with bionic limbs (he was electrocuted), Owensboro's Jason Koger is enjoying his brand new bionic hands, that he demonstrated recently when he stopped by the WBKR studios. Take a look! Jason's new Touch Bionics hands can be controlled by a phone app and they will absolutely blow your mind! This is truly one of the coolest things I have ever seen . . .

Yesterday I posted a blog about the South by Southwest festival. Well while doing some catching up on the events of the festival last night I can across something I thought was really cool.

Aside from the musical performances, film premieres, tech shows, and forums, this year a company will be holding a job interview at the festival. While normally this would cause too many people to raise an eyebrow (unless you were headed to Austin today) but the reason it sparked my interest was the style of interview that this company will be holding.

This is one of those pictures that has shown up on my facebook feed just about a million times. So, at notification 11,576, I finally clicked on it and read it through. It was about a Mom, Janell Burley Hofmann and her 13 year-old son. You see, her son received an iPhone for Christmas. But, what's interesting about this story is what went along with him receiving that iPhone... a set of rules, 18 rules to be exact. And, if I'm being completely honest with us both, I know a lot of adults who need some of these rules... including myself.

Some of my favorites are: "#11Turn it off, silence it, put it away in public. Especially in a restaurant, at the movies or while speaking with another human being. #17 Keep your eyes up. See the world happening around you. Stare out a window. Listen to the birds. Take a walk. Talk to a stranger. Wonder without googling."

Want to see the other 16 rules?
