December 13, 2012 Toby Keith's "Red Solo Cup" song and video took 2012 by storm! I mean, who wasn't sick of hearing it? But, how can you not sing along to it? Ha!

December 8, 2012 I couldn't really have picked any better timing for this installment of Shoulda Been a Hit. It's December and we have had highs in the 60's nearly all week long. We are truly experiencing an Indian Summer here in the tri-state and that got me thinking about one of my favorite Brooks and Dunn hits. Yep! "Indian Summer." You guys are quick. It's hard to believe, but this song was the duo's second-to-last chart single. And, back in 2009, it stalled at a mere #16 on the Billboard Country Chart. But, truly, it should have been a hit.
December 7, 2012 Ballad. Meet Michael Bolton. Michael Bolton's voice. Meet power ballad. I think Michael Bolton has one of the BEST voices ever. I know the guy bombed out of Dancing with the Stars and people accused him of having no rhythm or soul, but the man can sing his behind off and I have video proof. I was a huge fan of Michael Bolton in the late 80's when he released songs like "That's What Love is All About," "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" and "When I Am Back on My Feet Again." But my favorite Michael Bolton performance ever wasn't a solo performance. He and Patti LaBelle joined forces for a medley of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell hits on a televised Motown tribute special years ago. WATCH THIS! This is BIG singing at its best and proof that Bolton has all kinds of soul. he goes toe-to-toe with one of the biggest voices on the planet and doesn't miss a beat. The crowd starts clapping and yelling in the middle of the performance and doesn't stop. They are squirming and ready to jump out of their seats. This is RIDICULOUS! I still get chills watching . . .

December 6, 2012 I love theme parks. If you ask me, nothing beats riding The Voyage at Holiday World or zipping through the Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland. I have loved theme parks since I was a kid. But I have NEVER seen anything quite like this. South Korea is home to a brand new theme park that pays tribute to the TOILET! And, trust me. I only wish I was kidding. Pardon the pun, but enjoy this sneak peak inside the bowl . . .
December 5, 2012 Ya'll know I am a huge fan of The X Factor. I have been blogging about it since the second season premiered a couple of months ago on Fox. If you haven't jumped on the bandwagon yet, there is still time. Not only do we have a potential country-star in the making with Tate Stevens, we have a possible international megastar being born in 13-year-old Carly Rose Sonenclar. The child can sing anything. But last week on the show, she did the impossible. She took one of the biggest hits of the decade, mixed it up and actually sang Adele better than Adele. Not kidding. WATCH THIS!
December 5, 2012 Yep! We love Christmas music. And Jaclyn and I love going to Christmas concerts . . . especially when they involve massive heaps of Christmas food. And that's exactly what we found at Gaylord Opryland Resort's all new Christmas show starring Lorrie Morgan. Lorrie Morgan's Enchanted Christmas features two highlights. One is its star, Lorrie, of course. The other . . . the pre-show dinner that will stuff you as fat as Santa! Jaclyn and I had a video camera at dinner and decided to Food Network for you!
December 4, 2012 Ever since I heard Lee Brice's latest single, "I Drive Your Truck", I was already anxious to see the video. With the emotional content of the song, I knew I would just love it. Thankfully, I don't have to wait any longer!
Lee debuted his new video Monday on CMT.com. And, it was just as good as I'd imagined!
