September 28, 2012 Earlier this week, Jaclyn stepped out from behind the radio mic and in front of a television camera. She was a guest host on the Eyewitness News Lifestyles show. Meteorologist David Heckard, clearly not in his right mind at the given moment, let Jaclyn give the old "green screen" a whirl and things went about as well as expected. Jaclyn looked like one of Barker's Beauties on crack. She pointed the wrong direction, proved to the world she never had a geography lesson and blocked the path of storm fronts trying to enter the tri-state. Jac's weather forecast was hilarious and, as our buddy Mitch Edwards pointed out, was a bit reminiscent of a local weather legend . . . Marcia Yockey. August 30, 2012 Hurricane Isaac has now been downgraded to a tropical storm. And it never packed more than a Category 1 punch, but that was clearly plenty for enough folks who are currently dealing with the powerful storm's onslaught of rain.
August 11, 2012 I'm no expert, so this is just a guess. But I bet the reason the lightning displays with our storms this summer have been so impressive is because of how dry it's been otherwise.
August 5, 2012 To say this is one of the hottest summers I can ever remember would be an understatement. Last week, Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist told me that we'd had around 49 days of, at least, 90-degree weather. Fourteen of those days topped 100 degrees.

After a very nice weekend of weather, we step back in the sauna with a heat index near 105 every afternoon and overnight lows only in the mid 70s - creating dangerous heat conditions. Take care of yourself if you have to work outside and don't forget about your outside pets
