Brrrrrrr! I don't know about you guys, but I am NOT ready for this. We knew there was a chance it was going to be cold this weekend, but the National Weather Service says we are going to dip below the freezing mark. Yep! There's even a chance we'll see a Hard Freeze Warning in effect for the weekend! #ThisSucks!
We interrupt this perfect Fall weather to take a peek at the coming winter. Not the colors of the fuzzy caterpillars or the inside of the persimmon seed, but the long range forecast released by the NOAA Climate Prediction Center:
If you're already missing summer in Kentucky, then this isn't going to help. And if, like me, you're a much bigger fan of autumn, well, just picture all the greenery in shades of red, orange, yellow, and gold.

It seems like it always rains and storms at the International Bar-B-Q Festival in downtown Owensboro and this year was no exception. There were two big bouts of rain on Saturday. And Friday kicked off with a bang as storm clouds rolled in and started to swirl right above the festival. Check this out! I happened to have my iPhone handy and things were looking a little sketchy.
The city of Boonville is under a state of emergency for the next 8 hours. Travel in Boonville should be limited to essential travel only. Officials are calling the damage in Boonville "massive" and many streets are unsafe to travel
The National Weather Service is warning of another severe weather outbreak this afternoon and the tristate is right in the heart of the area of concern.
