I know. It sounds like the old west. But it's not. It's not even WESTern Kentucky. It's happening in Lincoln County, about three counties due south of Lexington. Stanford is its county seat.

Yeah, cattle rustlers. Since beef prices have been on the rise, more and more cattle have been reported stolen.

One man lost 23 head of cattle to thieves recently, a $40,000 setback.

And with cattle owners not having to show proof of ownership, this feels like a problem that will only get worse before it gets better.
