"Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see." Now, of course, when Benjamin Franklin SAID that, it was 17 hundred-something-or-other...many, many moons prior to the first viral photo.

If he were alive today, he'd have good reason to augment that famous quotation and advise to believe NONE of what you see...under certain circumstances.

Like, for example, when you see children waist-deep in water working on the computer and their reflections don't match up. Or when you see a man walking a dog the size of a horse. Or when you see sharks swimming in flood water at the foot of an escalator.

Recently, I posted about some images that most would find hard to believe were not photoshopped. Well, now we are being assured that these images--many of them I remember being plastered across the Internet and television and passed off as the real thing--absolutely WERE photoshopped.

One, in particular, I found to be in poor taste.

But they are all fascinating, nonetheless.
