City of Owensboro Skate Park Meeting

I am excited to hear that the process is moving forward for a skate park in Owensboro. I use to enjoy skating as a child but where I grew up, there were very few places to safely skate. For this reason, I am very excited about a skate park in Owensboro!

The City of Owensboro is holding a public meeting tonight at 6:30 about the skate park. The meeting will be held in the Commission Chambers located on the fourth floor at City Hall, 101 E. 4th Street. Here is a little more information from a press release from the city

The City of Owensboro will work with Spohn Ranch to design and build Owensboro’s NEW Skatepark. Spohn Ranch is a nationally recognized contractor specializing in the design and construction of action sports terrain. Having built over 500 successful community skateparks across the globe, the City of Owensboro is excited to bring the Spohn Ranch team, their experience and passion to our project!
