Cooler Weather Expected in Tristate by the Weekend [Forecast]

If you're tired of this sweltering heat, there's some good news and bad news for you. The bad news is we have a few more days of hot and humid highs. The good news- Wayne Hart says we're going to be cooling off, considerably, by the weekend.

Today: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between noon and 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 90. West wind 7 to 11 mph.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. North northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. North northeast wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. Light and variable wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph after midnight.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. West southwest wind 7 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
