Cops Connecting With Kids “Dream Big” Weekend Starts This Friday

The Evansville Police Department's Cops Connecting with Kids is teaming up with The Dream Center for a weekend of great food, cool cars, and big dreams!

The Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (October 2-4), law enforcement officers will be spending the weekend taking turns sitting in a Corvette perched high above Bennett Motors on Diamond Avenue. They will also be joined by local celebrities riding "Celebrity Shotgun" in the Corvette. The officers and celebrities will be collecting donations and selling BBQ prepared by the Newburgh BBQ Coalition.

The Dream Car Museum will also be open, free admission, with displays of over 60 dream cars including hot rods, movie cars (Fast & Furious), Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royce, and more!

The money raised will provide Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets for 1,000 families, Christmas presents for 200 kids, and a goal of taking 40 Cedar Hall and Glenwood schools students to Disney World. Hours for "Dream Big" Weekend will be 6a-10p on Friday and Saturday and 6a-6p on Sunday. Bennett Motors is located at Diamond and Heidelbach in Evansville.
