"Daddy's Hands" never was a huge hit. It peaked at #7 on the Billboard country charts. But that never stopped it from becoming the most popular song of Holly Dunn's career, the song that really kick-started that career.

This morning, we learned the sad news that Holly Dunn has passed away at 59 after battling ovarian cancer.

It was last March when she revealed she was battling the deadly disease.

Back around Father's Day, when Holly's signature hit is always a top request, I was involved in a discussion about whatever happened to her.

I'd meant, at the time, to Google her and find out.

It turns out that Holly became a painter after leaving the music business.

We send our prayers and best wishes to her friends and family.

Holly Dunn had seven other top ten hits including the number one songs "Are You Ever Gonna Love Me" and "You Really Had Me Going."
